Perimenopause & Midlife Counselling

Midlife can bring changes that are hard to put into words - in your body, your mood, your relationships and how you see yourself. You don't have to sort through it alone.

  • $160 / 50-minute session
  • In person or online across BC

What midlife can bring

  • Mood changes, anxiety or irritability that feel new
  • Poor sleep, brain fog and a dip in confidence
  • Children leaving home, or caring for ageing parents
  • Shifts in career, purpose or identity
  • Changes in relationships and intimacy
  • Grief for a younger version of yourself

How counselling helps

Counselling gives you space to make sense of what's happening and why it feels so big. Together we can build tools for mood and stress, explore identity shifts with curiosity and compassion, and work through changes in your relationships - drawing on CBT, mindfulness, somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems and Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Alongside medical care

Counselling doesn't replace medical care. Your doctor or a menopause clinic can talk with you about physical symptoms and treatment options, while counselling supports the emotional side of this transition.

FAQ

Common questions

Can perimenopause affect my partner and family too?

Yes. Perimenopause can bring emotional and relational changes that affect not only you, but your whole family. Alongside individual support, I offer family support to help you, your partner or spouse, and your children better understand this transition, strengthen communication and navigate this stage of life together.

Is it perimenopause or anxiety?

Symptoms can overlap - sleep changes, irritability and low mood can come from either or both. It's worth talking to your doctor, and counselling can help with how you're feeling either way.

Can I do this online?

Yes. Online sessions are available anywhere in British Columbia.
