  • Relationships at home and at work

My approach

I've completed continuing education as an ADHD clinical service provider, and I draw on CBT, DBT skills, Internal Family Systems and body-based regulation. Sessions are adapted to how your brain works - we can adjust structure and pace together.

Counselling, not diagnosis

Counsellors provide counselling and support, not formal assessments. An adult ADHD or autism assessment is done by a psychologist or physician - your family doctor is a good first step for a referral. Counselling can help before, during and after that process.

FAQ

Common questions

Can a counsellor diagnose ADHD or autism?

No. Diagnosis is done by a psychologist or physician. Counselling supports you with what you're living with, whether or not you have a formal diagnosis yet.

Is this the same as ADHD coaching?

Counselling covers some of the same practical ground - planning, routines and executive function - and also the emotional side, like shame, self-esteem, anxiety and burnout from masking.

Do you work with autistic adults?

Yes. Adults with ADHD or autism often come for anxiety, depression, executive functioning, masking fatigue and self-esteem.
