Healing happens in relationship

I truly believe that healing is something that happens in relationship with others - which is why I became a social worker and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. When we work together, you'll find a welcoming space where you can be yourself.

Resilience is part of the incredible human strength we all have within us, though there are times when we all need someone to walk beside us as we process the past, learn to cope differently with the present, and clear a way forward. I don't take it lightly when people choose me to walk this journey with them. It's a genuine privilege.

“I'll meet you exactly where you are. Some days will feel like big leaps forward, and other days might feel like a struggle - and that's okay. We'll go at your pace.”

FAQ

Common questions

Is counselling covered by my extended health insurance?

Many extended health plans cover counselling with a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC), usually listed under "counsellor" or "psychotherapist". Direct billing is available for most major insurance companies - check your plan for your coverage amount.

What happens in the free 15-minute consultation?

It's a short, no-pressure chat to ask questions, share a little about what's bringing you in, and see whether we're a good fit before booking a full session.

Do you offer online counselling?

Yes. Online sessions are available anywhere in British Columbia, and couples or co-parents can join from two different locations.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on your goals and what you're working through. Sessions are 50 minutes, with longer sessions available. For couples, 10-20 sessions is typical - weekly at first, then every two weeks once things are moving.

Can a counsellor diagnose ADHD or autism?

No - counsellors provide counselling and support, not formal assessments. A psychologist or physician can assess for ADHD or autism; counselling can help alongside that process and after a diagnosis.

What approaches do you use?

My work draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness and somatic awareness - always adapted to you and your goals.
